A Passion to Teach Scripture and Strengthen the Church
I’m Scott LaPierre, a Christian pastor, author, and conference speaker committed to helping people grow in their relationships with Christ through expository Bible teaching. Whether I am preaching at Woodland Christian Church, writing books, or speaking at conferences, my goal is the same: to make Scripture clear, practical, and applicable for everyday life.
God has allowed me to serve His church for many years through preaching, writing, and producing biblical resources that equip families, strengthen marriages, and encourage believers to walk faithfully with Christ.
My Journey into Christian Ministry
I didn’t begin life planning to be a pastor. Through hardship — including the tragic loss of my brother — God drew my heart toward Scripture and opened my eyes to the hope of the gospel. The more I studied the Bible, the more I sensed God calling me to teach it.
Over time, what began as a passion for studying Scripture developed into a full-time pastoral calling. I now serve as the teaching pastor at Woodland Christian Church in Washington State, where I preach verse by verse through the books of the Bible and shepherd a vibrant, Christ-centered church family.
Expository Preaching and Biblical Teaching
My ministry revolves around expositional preaching — explaining Scripture in its context, drawing out its meaning, and helping believers understand how to apply it today.

Every book begins as a sermon series and grows through prayer, study, and shepherding God’s people. My aim is always to provide clear, practical biblical teaching that strengthens marriages, encourages families, and equips believers to walk in obedience to Christ.

Family Life — Ministry Begins at Home
My wife Katie is my partner in life and ministry. Together, we have eleven children, whom we homeschool. Our home is full, joyful, and dependent on God’s grace every single day.
Katie leads her own ministry, Eternally Minded Mamas, encouraging women to pursue Christ, embrace biblical motherhood, and build homes centered on eternal priorities.
As a family, we love serving our church, traveling for ministry, studying God’s Word, and opening our home for fellowship.
